Chi-Lun Lee

A black-and-white photographer based in Taipei.

I shoot daily with a Leica SL2 and various film cameras, moving between the streets and the darkroom. I believe photography is a discipline of seeing — not just recording what's in front of you, but choosing what to see and what to leave out.

Philosophy

My work is deeply influenced by the Zone System. What Ansel Adams taught me goes beyond exposure technique — it's a reverence for light. Every press of the shutter is a conscious decision.

This Site

Zone Press takes its name from the Zone System (a philosophy of exposure) and Press (publishing). A space for my work, technical notes, and thoughts on the image.
